Frank Schleck from Luxembourg win the 17th stage of the Tour de France. Schleck from Saxo bank team finished 4 hours 53 minutes 54 seconds. Spain's Alberto Contrador 2nd and Andy Schleck 3rd. by this result, Contador still no 1 in overall standings, Andy schleck second, and Frank Schleck 3rd.
Seven-time Tour winner Lance Armstrong finish 5th in the a gruelling stage, from Bourg St Maurice to Le Grand Bornand. He is standing 4th in overall.
