God Rays

Maybe you've seen interesting events in the sky when sunrise or sunset. A giant light that highlight sky so the sky look like split. The beautiful events are called Anticrepuscular ray and Crepuscular Ray and also called God rays.






Crepuscular Ray is a phenomenon that occurs when the sun light radiated from a certain point. This light radiation can occur because of sunlight entered through the gaps between clouds or other objects. The phenomenon is usually seen before the sun rises or sets.


Anticrepuscular Ray is a beam of light similar to a Crepuscular, but it appears to be in place opposite from the sun. This occurs when the light emerging from Crepuscular Ray seen through re-convergence the spot of Antisolar (spot sky opposite the direction of the sun).

Both appeared at the time of sunset. In certain cultures, the layman will look at the strangeness of it as a sign that there is a disaster, or there are aliens passing by. Though the phenomenon occurs because the sun was blocked certain objects such as clouds.
