Nuclear research laboratory owned by the U.S. military in Santa Fe, New Mexico, threatened with fire. The lab was ordered to remain closed on Tuesday (28/06/2011), after the fire reached the end of the facility on Monday and the city where it facility was started to evacuate, although all high-risk material is safe, officials said Monday.
Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) said there were no toxic leakage current after the fires on the western edge research complex in Santa Fe, New Mexico's. The lab was founded during World War II when it began developing nuclear weapons technology. Currently it employs about 11,800 people.
