Deadly Earthquake Rocks Guatemala

Three earthquakes rocked southern Guatemala on Monday in 90 minutes, shaking buildings in the capital, killing at least three people. The quake struck near the southwestern coast of Guatemala, the area around Santa Rosa sugar cane plantations, and forced the evacuation of about 400 people and cut off the electricity and telephone service. According to U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the first quake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale which is followed about half an hour later by a second earthquake measuring 5.8 magnitude. The other three earthquakes that occurred after with smaller magnitude. Earthquake epicenter was located in the east and northeast Cuilapa and the larger one has a depth of 25 miles (40 km). They rocked buildings in Guatemala City, about 33 miles (52 km) away. This area is prone to earthquakes with more than 15,000 small earthquakes since 1979, said Eddy Sanchez, head of the geology agency of Guatemala. India Earthquake

An earthquake with magnitude of 6.9 on the Richter Scale struck the northeastern region of India and Nepal, Sunday (9/18/2011), and killed at least 16 people and destroyed several buildings. The disaster came at 18:10 local time and its shocks felt in the region along the northeastern and eastern India including the capital New Delhi. The quake was followed by at least two aftershocks measuring M 6.1 and 5.3 on Richter Scale. At least five people were killed in the state of Sikkim and more than 50 others wounded as reported to state officials, Karma Gyatso. In the state of West Bengal there were four people reportedly died while in Bihar there were two deaths. Meanwhile, the Nepalese government announced there were five dead included two men and a child who hit the wall that collapsed near the British Embassy in the capital, Katmandu. Microsoft finally officially released the latest operating system Windows 8 at BUILD conference attended by thousands of application developers in Anaheim, Calif., on Tuesday (13/09/2011). A giant crocodile caught in Philippines

OMG! A giant crocodile which weighs 1075 kilograms arrested in the Philippines, the length of this giant crocodile reached 6.4 meters. Tropical storm Talas Hits Western Japan

Tropical storm Talas has hit western Japan and killed at least 24 people and 54 missing. Storm Talas, a deadly typhoon that struck Japan over the last few years. Talas is blowing about 108 kilometers per hour. River which flows also bring building materials and landslides that hoard hundreds of homes.
