Floating Hotel Named "Ark Hotel"



A building concept like Noah's Ark newly developed by the architects of Russian. This time the ark form of hotel called "Ark Hotel". The concept of "Ark Hotel" shown on Monday (10/01/2011), built to cope with flood disaster due to rising sea surface. When floods occur, the hotel is able to float in sea water so as to save people who are in it. In these conditions, shell-shaped hotel is also still can provide the energy for residents because it planted the tree.




In addition to cope with flooding, the hotel is also said to withstand earthquakes. The architects who built it said, the framework and design of the hotel is able to spread the weight evenly distributed so that it can secure the population from the earthquake disaster that may occur.



The hotel also has solar panels and rain water reservoir which will provide energy and water naturally. The interior of the hotel are equipped with vegetation that besides providing good air quality can also be a source of food.

Hotel exterior is made of a transparent material to ensure adequate light. Light intensity control is done by a filter on the inside of the room. Meanwhile, a special coating is also used to ensure the quality of light entering the room. All plants have been selected on the basis of suitability, efficiency in managing lighting and the ability to produce oxygen. A transparent roof made of plants can get enough light.

The hotel is built by the architectural firm Remistudio Russia and the International Union of Architects.

    What makes me admire this structure is the fact that it uses every possible source of renewable energy. And the design reminds me of Final Fantasy realm.:D

I do not know what this couple did: consciously swim in the river that are flooded or was swept away. I do not know what's on their minds at that time. While Australia is high alert due to flash flooding, a pair of Australian teenagers are across the Yarra River, Queensland, with a sex doll!
